A Year of Stretching, Softening, and Stepping Into Who I’m Becoming
2025 wasn’t just a year of achievements, it was a year of becoming. A year where I felt myself stepping more confidently into my voice, my creativity, and my purpose. When I look back on the months behind me, I see a collection of moments that shaped me in ways I never expected. Big milestones, quiet transitions, and the honest in-between.
✨ The Studio That Shifted Me
This year started with a creative shift I didn’t know I needed: my residency at That Alternative Studio. It was unlike any space I’d worked in before – less polished, more experimental, and full of character. I walked in as one version of myself and walked out as someone braver.

This residency became a sandbox for trying new lighting, new concepts, and new ways of directing people in front of the camera. It challenged me to loosen my grip, to create without needing the outcome to be perfect, and to trust my instincts more deeply.
It also reminded me that creativity thrives when you give it permission to breathe.
🎓 A Full-Circle Moment I’ll Never Forget
One of the most emotional parts of my year was returning to my old sixth form – not as a student, but as someone invited back to chat with creative students who reminded me so much of who I once was.
Standing in the same building where I used to avoid raising my hand, where I struggled to even order a coffee because I was too shy… and now speaking confidently to young creatives? That was a moment that felt like closing a loop. It reminded me that growth is not loud or linear – it’s the small steps that stack up until one day you look up and realise you’ve outgrown the version of yourself you once believed you’d always be.
If anything this year taught me, it’s that confidence is built, not born.
🖼️ My Work on Display for the First Time
Walking into Abingdon Street Market and seeing my photos displayed publicly felt surreal. It was one of those “I wish I could tell younger me this is coming” moments.

It wasn’t just about seeing my art hanging up, but it was about what it represented. Years of practice. Years of saying yes to opportunities before I felt fully ready. Years of trusting that my work had meaning, even before others could see it.
That day, it became real.
🏎️ Launching Fuelled By Passion — The Project That Lit Me Up
My women in motorsport project, Fuelled By Passion, became the heartbeat of my year. What started as a spark of an idea grew into something that connected me with powerful, driven women whose stories deserve to be seen and heard.
From studio days to behind-the-scenes conversations, from documenting confidence in motion to creating videos that reached thousands—this project became more than photography. It became a reminder of why I create: to tell stories that might otherwise go unnoticed.
It pushed me, challenged me, and reminded me that sometimes the best work comes from following the thing that scares you just a little. I’m so excited to continue this through 2026.

📸 The Clients Who Made This Year What It Was
There’s a special kind of gratitude I feel when I think about every client who walked through the studio door – or welcomed me into their world – this year.
The returning clients who feel like old friends. The new faces who trusted me from the very first message. The people who tell me they’re “not photogenic,” then leave smiling because they saw themselves differently. The families, the brands, the creatives, the headshots, the experiments, the moments of laughter that always, always make it into my memories even if not into the final gallery.
Every single one of you shaped this year. You helped me grow, refine my style, and remember that photography is always a collaboration.
If you worked with me in 2025 – thank you! You are part of this story.
🤍 The People Who Held Me Up
This year wasn’t just made up of big milestones—it was made up of hundreds of little ones. The early morning coffees with shaky hands before a big shoot. The late-night editing sessions where time didn’t exist. The moments of doubt followed by sudden clarity. The scribbled ideas in my notes app. The unplanned creative breakthroughs.
This year wasn’t something I navigated alone. I’m endlessly grateful for my close friends who listened to my vents, rants, and mid-shoot meltdowns; the ones who reminded me to breathe when things felt heavy; and the people who kept encouraging me to show up even on the days when that self-doubt came back in.
Their support carried me through the moments that don’t make it into the highlight reel—reminding me that I’m allowed to be human, to grow at my own pace, and to keep going even when things feel messy.
🌟 Looking Ahead to 2026
I’m walking into 2026 with excitement, softness, and ambition. There’s more I want to create, more stories I want to tell, and more communities I want to connect with.
My motorsport project will continue evolving. My studio work will keep growing. And I can’t wait to meet the clients, collaborators, and creative souls who will be part of the next chapter.
Thank you for making 2025 unforgettable.
Here’s to growth, courage, and everything still waiting for us.
